To submit a player not listed...please click here. When submitting, please do a quick
fact check on your players GRADUATION YEAR. I tend to get some submitted with the
season year, and it can create duplicates. Also, just add the college or university to
which the player originally was recruited. Due to space I cannot add additional
schools for which they played. If you see any errors in this list, as always drop me a
note. One last thing...to be on this list, the player MUST have played football at Red
Bank High. I will add them if they played football, but played a different collegiate
sport. Thank you for your patience, this is an ongoing project. ---Admin.
The Spirit Tunnel
The Spirit Tunnel is a tradition that started at half time of the 1981 game at Oak Ridge.
Down at half time to defending state champion Oak Ridge, the Lions came out of the locker
room to find the visitors stand nearly empty. It soon became apparent that the Red Bank
faithful had not left, but had formed a tunnel at the field gate to encourage the team.
Fueled by the positive support of the fans the Lions went on to beat Oak Ridge snapping a
Wildcat multi-year winning streak.
Red Bank Community Stadium/Tom Weathers Field
The Mighty Lion has long been a symbol of bravery, strength,
ferocity and valor. As King of the Beasts, the lion was
chosen as the school mascot to represent a dedication to
dauntless courage.
What better color to combine with the kingly lion than Royal
Blue a color linked to the qualities of truth and loyalty and
White, the color of purity of heart.

Game Day Breakfast at Lillie Mae's Place in North
Red Bank has been a Lion tradition started by
Coach Daniel's. Players, Coaches, support staff
and some parents come together to start game
day off on the right foot...with a down home
country breakfast!
The Wood
The Wood is a weekly award started by Coach Chuck Janow. It symbolizes the player that had
a smashing hit versus the past week's opponent. In other words...they "laid the wood" to
someone! The award is voted on weekly by the coaches, and then the weekly recipients get
to vote on the year award given out to the one individual that deserves it most for the season.
The award is displayed in the locker room and is one of the most desired by the players.
